Simple Pleasures

Today was one of those days.
The good kind,
where the sun warms your skin and
there is a perfect breeze in the air.
When you ride your bike to the farmers' market
to buy a weeks worth of produce
that only costs $21
all of it grown in Arizona
by hardworking hands in the earth
and love
lots of love.
That is the kind of day I had today.

  1. Ooh thay look so good! Look at that pak choi, and the squash and red cabbage...

What are you going to make with them?

  2. Lucy, I know, isn't it great? Yesterday I made this super delicious side dish. I sauteed the broccoli and a gray squash in white wine and olive oil. Then I added fresh ground pepper, salt, and Parmesan cheese...it was so good! This morning I had scrambled eggs with bell pepper, bok choy, onion, and tomato...how the rest of the veggies will be used is to be determined, but I'm sure they will be great. Thanks for stopping by and saying hello :)

  3. I'm so jealous! Can't wait to get in my own garden and have the farmers' market start back up this spring!

  4. I'm so sorry if I made anyone jealous...you can relish in the fact that come April we will be smoldering. Then I can be jealous of your awesome summer weather!
