Spring is full blown in Tucson.
With spring comes high winds
dust
allergies
and lots of glorious flowers!

I went wandering in the alleys the other day and brought back a few to share with you!

How does your garden grow?

Remember those little seedlings I shared with you a while back. Well, they have grown quite a bit. No peas yet, but I have had quite a few heads of lettuce, some bok choy, and lots of cilantro. Not bad for such a small space.

The funny thing is there are a bunch of things popping up that I didn't plant. There must have been seeds in the compost. I've got renegade tomatoes, squash, and I think this is an okra? Does anyone know for sure?
Have a great weekend!

A few things I am thankful for...

  • The sweet smell of orange blossoms that fills the air in Tucson this time of year. This must be what heaven smells like.
  • Laundry machines - I can't imagine how rough it must have been to do all your laundry by hand.
  • Creative people.
  • Kind people.
  • Love.
  • Mountains that turn pink at sunset.
  • Basil and rosemary.
  • Strawberries and musk melon.
  • The amusing Gambel quail in my backyard.
  • Sunshine and bright red flowers.

The barrel cactus in my front yard is blooming and it is AMAZING!
.....and a quote to end the day with......

“Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential and fight for your dreams." ~Ashley Smith
